language-pack-gnome-am software package provides GNOME translation updates for language Amharic, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install language-pack-gnome-am
language-pack-gnome-am is installed in your system.
Make ensure the language-pack-gnome-am package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep language-pack-gnome-am *
You will get with language-pack-gnome-am package name, version, architecture and description in a table
